Triple P: Positive Parenting Programme for parents who have a child with ADHD
Who can attend this course?
Anyone who has a child with ADHD between the ages of five and twelve.
How will the course help me?
The course can help you to:
• Recognise and build on the skills you already have as a parent.
• Recognise triggers and develop ADHD friendly practical strategies for helping your child to understand and manage their feelings more appropriately
• Find out about different services that can support you and your family
• Share your experiences with other parents
• Take care of yourself as a parent
How long is the course?
This is an eight week course. Sessions one to five run once a week for two hours. Sessions six and seven are individual telephone consultations up to thirty minutes. Session eight is the final group session.
Do I have to pay for the course?
You do not have to pay. The course is free. There are also free refreshments. You will receive a manual during the course which you can keep and refer back to for advice and guidance. You will receive a certificate when you complete the course.
Is there a crèche?
A crèche is provided free of charge but has to be pre-booked.
