Sensory Equipment Library

Age Range: 0-25

Sensory Equipment Loan service available in the London Borough of Barnet and beyond...

When: Available all year round. Loan periods from one day up to 6 weeks

Where: You can pick up equipment from our storage unit located at The Greentop Centre

Available to: Parent/Carers, play and leisure providers, local events, schools, children's centres. (Contact us for more information)

Parent Support

Age Range: All

Calling all parents, this session is for you! Tuesday mornings during term time we hold an open drop in session to give you the opportunity to come along and meet other parents, talk to the Fair Play Barnet staff, and have a little bit of time to yourselves! The FPB team are here to welcome you with tea, biscuits and cake!

So come on down!

When: Tuesdays 10-12.30am (term-time only)

Where: The location alternates between the Fair Play Barnet Office and a venue TBC in Barnet/Whetstone

Available to: All parents of children and young people accessing Fair Play Barnet services.

Music School

Age Range: 5-18 years

The Music School provides opportunities for disabled children to enjoy learning music in a supportive and creative atmosphere in small classes of 2-4 children or larger singing and mixed instrumental classes. Are you a budding musician or fancy a musical morning playing and experiencing different instruments? 40 minute session - £45/term

When:

Saturdays 9.45am-1.45pm with 40min classes (term-time only).

Football School

Age Range: 5-18

The Football School enables disabled children and young people to work to a set routine of warm-ups, passing, dribbling and friendly matches and develops confidence and skills. Fair Play Barnet has an FA qualified football coach leading the sessions assisted by trained support play workers.

When:

Sundays: 2.00 - 5.00pm (term-time only)

Greentop Saturdays

Age Range: 5-11 years

Greentop Saturdays is a Fair Play Barnet run inclusive drop in session running on Saturday's during term time. Check our Facebook or Twitter for more information on the dates we are there

When:

Saturdays during term time: 1-4pm.

Day Trips to Theme Parks

Age Range: 12-19 year olds

Fair Play Barnet are providing day trips to theme parks led by a team of play workers to have a supported, fun day out.

Archery Taster Sessions

Age Range: 13-19 years old

Taster sessions for young people teaching archery skills that allow progression into a mainstream archery club.

2-Night Sleepovers

Age Range: 8-11 year olds

Two nights break for children who would benefit from the experience of staying away from home in preparation for school residential holidays.

Supported Swimming Sessions

Age Range: 8-18 years old

Fair Play Barnet provides a two hour session of one-to-one supported swimming

When: Term time Saturday mornings from 10am-Noon

Where: Finchley Lido, Great North Leisure Park, Finchley

1-Night Taster Break

Age Range: 11-19 year olds

Fair Play Barnet provides one-night breaks for young people who have not stayed away from home before and need a short break to gain confidence.

When:

Where: Lea Valley Youth Hostel and Herts Young Mariners Base, Cheshunt.

Adventure Days

Age Range: 9-19 year olds

Fair Play Barnet provides adventure days during the school holidays. Young people will be supported to take part in canoeing, kayaking, climbing, caving and bush craft.

Where: Herts Young Mariners Base, Cheshunt.

Available to: 12 places per day. Contact the London Borough of Barnet Short Break Team if you would like your young person to attend.

One-to-One and Group Support

Age Range: 0-19

The aim of this service is to support children and young people to take part in community activities to promote their independence and undertake activities in the home.

When: Flexible - term time and during the school holidays

Where: Local play and leisure providers, and in the home
